Producer Member: Farmer, grower, food or drink producer committed to producing (i.e. growing, raising, brewing, baking or manufacturing) within the county and selling quality products that must have undergone a reasonable value added process over and above re-marketing or re-packaging. To use the ‘Created in Cavan’ brand your business uses Cavan ingredients where possible and Irish ingredients where Cavan ingredients are not available, if possible.
Retail or Wholesale Member: Retail and Wholesale businesses committed to selling locally produced food and drink. To use the ‘Created in Cavan’ brand Retailers and Wholesalers must offer local producers from Cavan the benefit of their products being available to purchase in their outlets, websites etc. Details of at least 6 local producers whose products you sell must be submitted at the time of application. The spirit of the use of ‘Created in Cavan’ brand is that each establishment using the brand will do their utmost to source from as many Cavan producers as possible.
Hospitality or Tourism Member: Pubs, hotels, restaurants, cafés, caterers, B&Bs, self catering accommodation, tourist attractions committed to sourcing and serving local produce. To use the ‘Created in Cavan’ brand Hospitality or Tourism Members must offer their local producers from the county the benefit of being used as ingredients on menus and must adhere to the following criteria:
