2nd – 5th of June, 2023.
Cavan County Fleadh in Belturbet
Once again Maggie will be extending a warm welcome to all into her home on Main Street, Belturbet for the duration of Cavan County Fleadh weekend. In 2022 she was showcasing the wonderful and delicious Drummully Boxty. This year in addition to Drummully Boxty she will be showcasing Morans Mega Jams, Lakeland dairies, Cullys Craft Bakers as well as many other local traditional foods, assisting in demonstrating, making, and tasting the finest produce Cavan has to offer.
Visit Belturbet for a festival of traditional music, song and dance that is the County Fleadh. Expect a packed programme of competitions, sessions, singing, dance and activities for families and children.

Killeshandra Camino Calling
Killeshandra is a rural village, set in the middle of unspoilt countryside. It is uniquely located in Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands and within the Cuilcagh Lakelands UNESCO Global Geopark. Nestled between rolling drumlins, stunning woodlands and countless lakes and rivers, Killeshandra is a convenient base for tourists as it is within 90 minutes of Dublin Airport in the east and The Wild Atlantic Way to the west. It is also next to Ireland’s Ancient East Region. A perfect base for exploring any part of Ireland!
Killeshandra Camino is run entirely by volunteers. In a spirit of consideration and respect for environmental sustainability we encourage practising a Leave No Trace ethic.
Killeshandra Camino is looking forward to welcoming walkers to join the 35km walk and ‘Created in Cavan’ will be there to help walkers along the way. Three of our wonderful producers will provide much needed energy boosts with Mary Ellens Meadow providing refreshment with delicious cordials, the Farrelly Family’s scrumptious Drummully Boxty being served up. The dynamic team at Ice Cream Treats will be providing their delectable ice cream. A little pick-me-up to refresh walkers along the way – see you in Killeshandra!

The Cottage Market Summer Market, Townhall Street, Cavan (12pm – 6pm)
The Cottage Market are a social enterprise based in Cavan Town that provides a supportive route to market for small-scale growers, food producers, crafters and artists in County Cavan.
Their mission is to improve the lives of the people living in County Cavan by building a local marketplace that reflects the skills and talents in our community and helps create local futures.
Their values are respect for people, our place and the planet we live on and to approach our work with positivity and integrity. Townhall Street will come alive when The Cottage Market Cavan hosts its Summer Street Market as part of Cavan Calling 2023. This celebration will showcase over 50 local food and craft vendors, an outdoor dining area, live music and art performers, demonstrations and more.

The Virginia Show
The 80th Virginia Show will take place this Summer and ‘Created in Cavan’ Producers are proud to be associated with the show. From artisan cakes to health teas to jams and cordials, this produce has to be seen (and tasted) to be believed!
Expect the 2023 show to be bigger and better than ever with family fun, demonstrations, food, crafts, displays and much more!

Tea Tasting Experience at Crafts of Ireland
Join us for an afternoon tea with a difference where every possible element of the menu is created by Sandra, onsite, the breads, the scones, the pastries and even the chilli jam! Roisin from HealthTea who is on a mission to make healthy, the easy option, will join us with a range of her pure, natural & delicious blends of tea that deliver on taste as well as goodness. These blends are made in Cavan, using only the best flowers & herbs that nature provides, each blend is a fusion of flavours that can be enjoyed hot or cold. Limited places, booking essential. Special dietary requirements can be catered for but must be advised at time of booking.
