It’s a tradition that has been in existence for many years. Afternoon tea was introduced in England by Anna, the seventh Duchess of Bedford, in the year 1840. The Duchess would become hungry around four o’clock in the afternoon. The evening meal in her household was served fashionably late at eight o’clock, thus leaving a long period of time between lunch and dinner.
Now considered by many as a meal, afternoon tea is perfect for a get together with friends and family. Usually served on a three tier stand with savoury finger sandwiches, freshly bakes scones and sweet treats. If you are looking for Afternoon Tea destinations in Cavan, then you are in luck.
