Born out of Covid and a love for using natural ingredients, Bogboy Booch is the brainchild of Joshua Dennis. It began as a hobby but has slowly taken over his life. Bogboy booch started as a Nitro Coffee company but Joshua realised his talents at making Kombucha as well. To create more awareness for his venture, Bogboy Booch has joined the Created in Cavan food network.
So, what exactly is Kombucha?
Kombucha is a fermented, lightly effervescent, sweetened black or green tea drink commonly consumed for its purported health benefits. Sometimes it is called kombucha tea to distinguish it from the culture of bacteria and yeast. Juice, spices, fruit, or other flavourings are often added.
Health benefits include a source of probiotics (for a healthy gut and good digestion), a source of antioxidants, it can contribute vitamins and minerals and may also support heart health.
The Micro Kombucha Brewery is where Joshua produces a traditionally fermented, unfiltered, living beverage that provides a healthier alternative to other fizzy drinks. Wherever possible, he uses seasonal, organic ingredients sourced locally. His offering includes Tepache- a Probiotic drink made from the Peel and Rind of Pineapples, Jun, and lots of other flavoured kombucha.
You will find Badboy booch at a selection of Farmers Markets as well as being stocked in Health Shops and small cafes in the region. You will also find this beautiful product in The Local Green Box. A new flavour is added to the local greenbox regularly and the bottles are reusable and returnable.
